Spiritual Gifts can be defined as talents, abilities or powers that reside within us perfectly imperfect human beings as a result of experiences with Life, or as gifts given to us by God, Goddess, Spirit or the ineffable Beyond.
Spiritual gifts are natural to you – you are born with them – but whether they develop or not and how well they develop is up to you. We all have them, it’s just a case of whether we fight them throughout out lives, or if we embrace and work to empower them.
Recognizing that you have spiritual gifts brings a lifetime of benefits – you can “tap into” your gifts and employ them to create your Spiritually Authentic life and to help yourself and others.
Repeat this affirmation out loud: My Spiritual Gifts will last a lifetime.
What else in our world can be said to last a lifetime? When you are open to giving and recieving spiritual gifts instead of material ones, there’s a different set of benefits that come with them. Spiritual gifts transcend the boundaries of time and last far longer than material (physical) ones.
Prayer is an example of a spiritual gift that offers a lifetime of benefits – to you as the one offering prayer on behalf of others, and to the people you pray for.
When I offer prayers on behalf of others, I have can faith that answers are on the way from a source beyond that which is right in front of me. I may not be able to physically SEE the answers, but I can exercise my faith in believing that answers are coming forth, and that they will be the exact right answers at the exact right time.
I appreciatee when acquaintances and strangers alike tell me that they are praying for me, or that they have prayed for me. The prayer doesn’t have to be founded in a denomination that agrees with mine, especially since I do not adhere to a traditional Christian path. While those praying for me may do so in private, I feel rewarded by their kindness and the fact that they though of me enough to flex their spiritual muscles on my behalf.
Having a spiritual connection with others – whether we share the same path or not – gives me a sense of belonging. I feel at peace with my circumstances regardless of how difficult they are, and I am certain that my well-being is in the hands of a higher force.
Love is a gift that keeps on giving.
Knowing that I am loved and cared for is very enriching to my heart and my spirit. It reminds me that regardless of my situation and how I’m feeling about it, there is something stronger than myself that I am able to hold onto. I know that once Love is sincere, it is mine for as long as I live.
Performing good deeds for others brings a higher level of spiritual wellness to me. The feeling of being an agent of positive and productive change is transformative. It reminds me of what is important, and helps me focus on Spiritual Authenticity as I extend beyond myself to help and benefit others.
Today, receiving and recognizing my spiritual gift helps to bring me inner joy, comfort, and peace. I celebrate those whom I can connect at a deeper, more spiritual, authentic level. Sharing a spiritually authentic journey with others helps to make my existence fulfilling and beautiful as we walk our paths toward our goals.
- What spiritual gifts of mine can I share with others?
- What is the best way to renew my soul when I feel tired or worn?
- How can I build up my spiritual muscles so I am more inclined to be charitable toward others and to act on those charitable feelings?
