First, Accept Yourself!

Affirmations are powerful, positive sentences that can change your mindset. Don’t focus on challenges and lack, but on healthy self-esteem and unshakeable self-confidence.

Read the affirmation below aloud. Loud enough for your mind to hear your voice saying the words and notice how you feel. Feeling better? Repeat this affirmation at least twice a day – morning, and night – for 21 to 28 days.

Comment below that you’ve started this process. Add entries in your journal each day as to how you’re feeling. Note the positive changes you’ve made and celebrate them! Send me a note using the contact form and let me know how you’re doing!

I am deserving of self-acceptance.

While working to create and manifest a Spiritually Authentic life, you’ll need some foundational building blocks – one of those is to treat yourself kindly and develop a deep well of self-acceptance.

When you feel and demonstrate self-acceptance, it’s easier to be happy with who you are and to overcome obstacles. If you fall short of a goal, self-acceptance means you encourage yourself instead of beating yourself up for actual or imagined mistakes. You’ll know and believe that it’s okay to make a second, or third, or multiple attempts at achieving a goal.

My imperfections make me the beautiful person that I am.

Use your perfectly imperfect human qualities (and yes, even your flaws) to reinforce to yourself that you are unique. There is NO ONE on this earth exactly like you, and your uniqueness is endearing.

Accepting yourself makes it a lot easier to accept others – and this can make a world of difference in your relationships with friends and loved ones. Remind yourself that it’s their imperfections and uniqueness that endears them to you, just as your uniqueness endears you to them.

Self-acceptance lays the groundwork for you to rise above feeling that you’re not good enough, not strong enough, not valuable enough. When you overcome those feelings, you can show others how to do the same by your actions and how you treat yourself – and in doing so, become a role model.

I demonstrate self-acceptance and extend that acceptance to others.

Today, accept yourself just as you are – and show that self-acceptance to others so that you can serve as an example of what’s possible.
